What an amazing home this is! The pictures don't lie: the views are drop-dead beautiful. But that's just the beginning. Every detail is so thoughtfully conceived. The design of the place is wonderful. It's super comfortable, functional, and beautiful. Great furnishings, cool art, and the best equipped kitchen I've seen in a rental. Everything you need is there and of a high quality. Excellent, very large Samsung Smart TV that lets you connect with your streaming services. The lanais are superb and great for hanging out. The little, very private sunbathing/stargazing deck at the top of the house is genius. Even if it's a chilly night you can grab a blanket from a basket at the top of the stairs and curl up under it to gaze at the light show above. The bed is extremely comfortable; linens and towels are great. The view from the shower is sweeping, yet private. (Lovely shower gel and shampoo, too!) Leaving doors open to the private lanai off the bathroom makes the whole room feel very open-air. The relationship to outdoors is one of the joys of the house, to be sure. You're just about a mile up the hill from an excellent beach, and Hutt and Greg equip you with beach chairs and towels, a cooler, and an umbrella to keep in your car during your stay, so you can explore beaches as you happen across them in your rambles around the island. You're also just up the hill from so many dining opportunities in Wailea. Keihei isn't far, either. This is one of those places that you almost hate to tell people about, as you know it's going to become so popular that it will become impossible to book. But that would be selfish and wrong. Hutt and Greg are the best hosts ever -- they must be shared! They're caring, kind, welcoming and so helpful, and offer up great local tips for dining and things to do. They're entirely engaged without ever being intrusive. I honestly can't imagine better. So many thanks to them for making our stay such a great one. We're already plotting our return and hope to bring others with us!

What an exquisite home and exceptional hosts! This was our first time staying at Sky Penthouse, but our third time on the property. We had such phenomenal experiences on our previous visits that we needed to share this piece of heaven with our family. So, we booked all three units for a family vacation with our parents. It was perfection! We all had our own private space to rest and recharge, and we came together throughout the day for a shared meal, a sunset soak in the hot tub, or conversation while whale watching on our lanai. The penthouse was the perfect place for everyone to gather - and what spectacular views from every room in the house! The location is ideal: we were a short drive to Wailea and Kihei but far enough away to enjoy the tranquility of the neighborhood. The property (both architecture and landscape!) are stunning and thoughtfully designed - everything is the perfect fusion of functionality and beauty. Absolutely everything we needed was provided - from beach chairs and umbrellas, to binoculars and every kitchen appliance and gadget we could hope for. SkyPoint is everything in the description and so much more. We can’t write a review without mentioning Hutt and Greg. They are the kindest of people - thoughtful, generous, and genuine. Staying with them is like staying with family. In fact, our family loved them so much that meeting them was one of the highlights of their trip! Staying here is like returning home and reuniting with the dearest of friends!

This house is amazing. Me and my wife travelled to Hawaii and wanted a special treat more than the standard tourist resorts had to offer. This home was spectacular. From the large balcony, we saw hump back whales during the afternoons and had a splendid sunset ritual every evening. Twice during our ten day stay, we fell asleep outside on the third floor while laying on the lanai and gazing at the Milky Way. The home was centrally located and relatively convenient to get around, but honestly the home was so beautiful that it is hard to imagine why anyone would want to leave. Most importantly, Hutt was an exceptional host. He is the embodiment of the Aloha spirit. Me and my wife were hesitant at first about spending so much for a one bedroom unit, but afterwards we realized how great of a value it actually was. This was an exceptional get away for me and my wife.

Sky point is a beautiful open concept home with the best patio, for sunsets, you can probably find on the island. Greg and Hutt are awesome hosts, available if needed, and super friendly. They give pages of recommendations for the whole island that helped guide us on restaurants/beaches/activities etc. We could not have asked for a more perfect place to share our 5 year anniversary. I HIGHLY recommend!

This home is absolutely beautiful. The photos are an exact reflection of the home. The view is amazing. Marty greeted us when we arrived for check-in and provided us a great run through of the home as well as recommendations for restaurants nearby and places to visit. If we ever come back to Maui, we will definitely book this home again. :)

This place is absolutely wonderful! My wife and I stayed at the penthouse for the last 5 nights of our honeymoon. Everything is very clean, classy, and well thought out. Hutt and Marty were amazing at communication and even provided an elaborate list of recommendations for all things on the island. We were greeted by Marty upon our arrival for a tour and fun conversation, along with fresh pineapple and snacks. They made themselves always available when needed and gave us privacy the rest of the time. The views and sunsets were out of this world. We didn’t even want to go to the beach to lay out, we just simply used the 2nd and 3rd floor decks. They provide beach chairs, a cooler, and an umbrella in case you do want to explore beaches. This is surely the best Airbnb available on the island. I highly recommend you save your time and book this place while it’s still available. Mahalo Hutt and Marty!

This place is AMAZING! It is much more than a place to rest at night, it’s a place that you actually want to spend time in. The decks provide the BEST views from the early morning to the wee hours of the night. The kitchen is a dream to cook in and we were able to rest and relax comfortably. Hutt and Greg are great hosts and we felt well taken care of and very happy the entire trip. We will definitely be back soon!

My goodness but this spot is glorious. Clearly architect-designed, this flat has impeccable architectural details & fixtures and stylish yet inviting indoor and outdoor furnishings that actually beg to be lounged on. And lounge we did. It is IDEAL for couples, from the luxuriously large ocean-view shower, to the heavenly hot tub, to the ultra private sky-view deck... (We may have spent more than one evening on that deck shamelessly eating locally-made coconut macadamia ice cream under a breathtaking blanket of stars). And believe when I tell you, this place was clean with a capital C. I'm talking immaculate. While I could go on about the advantages of this spot, I have equally as many good things to say about the hospitality. Hutt has carefully considered what it means to be the perfect host, and it shows in many ways, too many to mention here. He greeted us with a brief tour of the house, pointed out some interesting facts about various islands visible from the deck, and reiterated that if there was anything at all we needed not to hesitate to ask. Other than that we had complete privacy. One thing I noticed in contrast to every other place we have stayed: there are not a million 'house rules' instructing guests on what needs to be done throughout the stay and upon checkout. The emphasis was always on our enjoyment and relaxation. I've stayed at A LOT of airbnbs in my time and this is undoubtedly one of the very best from A-Z. Thank you Hutt!

I don't even know where to start. I wish I didn't have to write such a good review, because I'd like to be selfish and keep this place all to myself...but I have to be honest because Hutt & Greg deserve all of the praise. From the moment we stepped onto the property, to the moment we were sad to leave it...everything was perfect. When I walked into the penthouse all I can say is that I gasped at the view. I am a sucker for views, and I've seen my share of them, but this one is top notch. Saying the photos don't do it justice, does not do it justice! Haha. It is stunning. We were there for a week and couldn't get enough of it. We had everything we needed, and they even provided some yummy Hawaiian treats. We bought groceries at the Safeway down the street and made breakfast every morning with some fresh Maui gold pineapple. We ate outside of course, and gazed at the view. We had an amazing dinner at Spago down the road and our view from the house even had the Four Seasons beat. The location of the home is perfect. Right between the hotel areas and the countryside. Close to everything. We were able to do everything we wanted to do (Hana, Haleakala, Mama's Fish) during the time we were there and still had time to relax. We snorkeled at the Ahihi Reserve and it was magical! The layout of the house is perfect. I even took some inspiration and added it to my own home. The bed was super comfy. I could go on and on...but I'll just say if you are thinking about booking it, just do it. You will be happy you did. Not to mention the charming hosts we had that made it all worth while!

I don’t even know where to begin. The penthouse property is literally a dream! Pictures don’t do it justice, the views are unreal and the house is absolutely gorgeous. We came to Maui for the first time this trip to get married and spend part of our honeymoon. This penthouse was better than any hotel we could have gotten by far. The only downside of the penthouse is it is so nice you won’t want to leave to go do anything. LOL The only thing better than the property are the hosts. Not only were we greeted when we arrived, they gave us a personal walkthrough and great recommendations for beaches and activities. I’ve never felt so comfortable with two strangers. By the end of our trip the hosts Hutt and Greg felt like friends. They are absolute gems and make this rental even better. I couldn’t ask for anything more from our hosts. They really made our wedding trip unforgettable. Literally counting the days until we can rent this place again and return to Maui!

We stayed here on our honeymoon and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The penthouse was very spacious, had an enormous lanai, and had a little rooftop deck for some of the best stargazing we’ve ever done. The views were breathtaking. Hutt was an amazing host. He was there to greet us when we got there and showed us around the place and told us how to use all the amenities that were offered. There was a pamphlet of great things to do around Maui and which restaurants to eat at. We followed his advice and had an unforgettable trip. We can’t wait to return!

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at Sky Penthouse! The photos don't do the space or the view justice--they are so much more beautiful in person. The Penthouse is thoughtfully designed and decorated, with lots of comfortable places to relax and enjoy the gorgeous view. We loved watching the sunset on the patio, and stargazing on the third floor lanai at night. The space is quiet, private, and very peaceful. All of the amenities — including a fully-stocked kitchen — made it feel like we were at home. The provided beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler made it easy for us to hop over to our favorite beach for the day! I appreciated how easy it was to check in, and how friendly and helpful Hutt was during the whole stay.

Absolutely loved this place! Stayed for a week for our honeymoon and it was perfect. The location is close to many popular beaches and restaurants so driving to them is quick and easy. The host was nearby all week and was very helpful in assisting for anything we needed. We are a young couple and wanted to explore the many scenic hikes and waterfalls and the host was kind enough to provide us a whole book of suggestions and “can’t miss locations.” We used that book the remainder of our trip and saw some of the most beautiful views in the world. Their level of care and satisfaction is that of a 5 star hotel, without being one which makes the privacy and intimate vacation we needed. So if you’re looking for a fairly quiet place with wonderful views and being close to most destinations, this is a fantastic spot. The pictures provided by the host don’t do it justice. The western view of the sunset is a rare sight on the island and being on the balcony or in the hot tub provides a spectacular view of that. The upstairs balcony is private and provides a great view of the night sky and sunset and makes you feel totally alone. I highly recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed.

Gorgeous open floor plan with amazing views. The pictures just don't do it justice. There is beautiful art and amenities throughout the home as well. The roof deck is great for star gazing and sun bathing. They also have beach chairs, beach towels, ice chest, etc (basically anything you need while you are there). There are numerous AC units to keep you cool when you need a break from the sun. I also recommend a couples massage on the back deck in the early morning! Communication with their property manager was also quick and easy if we needed anything.

There are no words except WOW to describe how truly magical staying here is! My (new!) husband and I stayed here for our recent Maui wedding and honeymoon and we could not have asked for a more stylish, scenic, relaxing accommodation to spend such an exciting time! If the helpful and top notch local recommendations provided or the fact that this place has everything you need for any activity you have planned (from towels and a cooler for the beach to reusable water bottles for hikes and drives) are not enough to impress you, the view will without a doubt leave you breathless. We had such a wonderful time staying at this penthouse for 5 days during May 2018. The view from all of the window is terrific - sunsets can't be beat! You could spend hours just relaxing on the lanai and enjoying the view. The penthouse was beautifully decorated and had a large well equipped kitchen. We had an amazing time staying at such a beautiful home: everything is as advertised. Check in was prompt and efficient. Martin is the man. He is cool. The view an amazing, breath taking, it is stunning. The gourmet kitchen is extremely well equipped. We use the Vitamix machine everyday just like we were home. The upstairs private patio is perfect for some nature sunbathing with the best view. We used the grill for our steak and eggs in the morning, which was a nice touch. The owners also recommended the hot tub under the starlight - gosh I agree it is magical. Location is easy drive to the beach and to Andaz and other resorts and restaurants. Highly recommended!

This property is everything you think it’s going to be and so much more. The house is beautifully built and decorated. The view from the lanai is absolutely breathtaking. We spent every morning drinking coffee and breakfast outside, and made sure to come back most evenings for the sunset. You really won’t find a better view anywhere else on the island. We saw a beautiful rainbow every day and I️ had a hard time believing the view was real! The top deck was unbelievable for stargazing at night and we used the hot tub one night after sunset. The location is perfect, it’s a quick ride to the beach and restaurants, although you might find yourself never wanting to leave the penthouse! We ended up having to book a one night hotel stay down the street when our flights were pushed back and we were desperately missing this place. Really, book this place you won’t find any better. Hutt and Greg were amazing hosts!! It is hard to put "The View" from the deck and third floor into words, it is truly something that has to be experienced in person. The entire space was perfect to relax in after exploring the island and wanting to chill without battling the afternoon trade winds. Eating dinner on the deck and drinking wine under the stars is something that we will remember for the rest of our lives. We hope to be back one day!!

We had a beautiful stay here! The home was just perfect with top of the line amenities and a beautiful view of the ocean and surrounding hills and tropical flora! We preferred staying in and making dinner to eat on the wraparound terrace while watching the sunset rather than going to a restaurant. Also, everything you could possibly want in a home away from home is here. Communication and host accessibility were flawless. We had a magical Maui vacation, due in part to these truly exceptional accommodations. We stayed in the Penthouse, and we highly recommend it. Such wonderful attention to detail - and the view was SPECTACULAR! (The night sky gazing on the very comfortable patio furniture was amazing as well!) Martin, our host, was so welcoming and ready to help if we needed anything. But otherwise, it was very private and like we had the whole property to ourselves. We arrived at the house on an evening of torrential rain. Hutt greeted us at our car door with an umbrella. That hospitality continued throughout our month long stay. Though Hutt and Greg gave us our privacy, we somehow felt incredibly nurtured and pampered. When we travel, we like to use Airbnb instead of hotels because we want to experience the places we visit "as a local". While we pay for the privilege of staying, we consider ourselves guests, not customers, of the hosts. We care for their homes as we do our own. This time, we were fortunate to have one of those magical Airbnb experiences where you make a connection. The rental unit becomes home and the hosts become friends. SkyLoft is beyond superlatives. It is gracious living at its best. Everything is so thoughtfully provided. The kitchen is fully equipped, complete with a cabinet full of spices. We ate dinners in most nights because the sunset dining views on our lanai were better than those of any beachfront resort restaurant. Going to the beach was a breeze because the beach towels, chairs, umbrellas and cooler were all provided and at the ready. At the end of a day out, we were eager to return home to a place replete with creature comforts. SkyLoft feels like home because it is fully furnished as one. We can't thank Hutt and Greg enough for their generosity of spirit, for their genuine desire to care for our needs and for their warmth that pervades the entire space. SkyLoft is special because Hutt and Greg are special human beings. Our month here was the stuff of dreams.

My mom and I stayed in this glorious apartment for one week. If you're still not convinced by all of the other amazing reviews for this place and have stumbled upon this one, let me save you some time, just book it. Our host Hutt (and Greg!) was one of the most genuinely nice people I have met in a long time. He graciously made himself available for information and advice throughout the entirety of our trip, and gave us a few local recommendations that were amazing. The penthouse itself is a remarkably designed property. My wife and I have an appreciation for modern interior design, and this place was like a dream for us. I especially would recommend checking out the stargazing patio on the top floor.

This is, hands down, the most beautiful place to stay in Maui. There are no words to describe how perfect it is. We feel so grateful to have had the chance to stay here on our honeymoon. If we could give it more stars, we would! First of all, the place is tucked away in a quiet but pristine neighborhood just 5 minutes or less to the nearest beach. When you arrive to this gorgeous penthouse you are greeted by a breathtaking entrance with a gorgeous landscape that is manicured to perfection. Upon entering, you climb a gorgeous wooden staircase to the main floor that is, without a doubt, spectacular!!!!! Your eyes are immediately drawn to the absurdly beautiful sight of the beach out the windows. When you make your way towards the outside you realize that you are standing on the second floor lanai taking in what must be the best views on the entire island!!! Just off the lanai is the bedroom that it, of course, has an amazing view which is quite possibly the best thing to wake up to in the morning. The master bathroom is, as you can probably guess, amazing, with a shower that feels as if you are showering outdoors!!!! Our review can go on and on about how down right gorgeous this place is, so the best way we can sum it up is that it is the most beautiful place we have ever seen! Of course we must also share how incredible Hutt and Greg are as hosts! First of all, the booking process is seamless and upon requesting to book, Hutt emailed us immediately with a very in depth description of the place which just made us even more excited to be able to stay here! Before we left for our honeymoon, Hutt and Greg were easy to communicate with regarding our late arrival! During our stay Hutt and Greg were so kind and welcoming, we felt as though we were at a home away from home!!!! And of course, we want to give a shout out to their sweet sweet dog Chief who is as cute as can be!! If there is one take away from our review it is to absolutely book this place for your vacation in Maui! We were already talking about returning to stay before we even left!!! Wow! I've given 5-star ratings before but this elevates things to the next level. The "50-Story" Penthouse loft truly is an elite airbnb property and Hutt and Greg were terrific hosts! Prior to our arrival, Hutt was very responsive and provided great recommendations on places to check out. This was a trip where I was planning to propose to my partner and he provided me with phone numbers for individuals who could help me set up the best experience for her. I ultimately ended up hiring a private chef that Hutt recommended to cook for us at the property one evening which was fantastic! The house: From the time you drive up the driveway, you know this is a special place. From the entry door to the grounds, the beautiful landscape design with meticulously manicured, terraced lawn, the welcoming entry way. We were hooked before we even set foot inside. Upon entering, there is a staircase with beautiful, soft wooden floors. Artwork adorns every turn. Entering into the main floor, the kitchen was spacious and open but what really catches the eye is the million dollar view of the ocean over the lanai through the beautiful french doors. The photos do not do the view justice. The living area was very modern and comfortable with artwork on the walls adding just the right amount of color. I particularly liked that not all the angles in the house were at 90 degrees. The bedroom and bathroom were very unique in their layout. The bed, very comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the huge lanai where we spent most mornings and evenings. We were especially appreciative of the bonus lanai on the third level that afforded all the privacy we desired. I could go on! Hutt and Greg joined us for a bit one evening and were just great! We really appreciated our interaction, though limited, with them. Do yourself a favor and book this place if it is available. This experience is what I would expect from a property that would cost more that twice as much! Truly a special place in paradise.

The sky penthouse was beyond any experience we could have anticipated. It was easily the most luxurious property we have had the pleasure of staying in. The location was perfect- a quick drive to multiple beaches, grocery stores, and what became some of our favourite restaurants (do yourself a favour and go to 808 bistro if you stay in Kihei!) The view from the entire property would be reason enough for us to book again! The stunning view from the deck had us out there enjoying our coffee every morning and watching the sunset from the top deck with wine in hand will be one of our favourite memories from Maui. The hosts are amazing and although we never got to meet Greg and Hutt in person they were super easy to communicate with and accommodating leading up to our stay! We especially appreciated the recommendations they have taken the time to put together! We met Martin the property manager briefly and appreciate how attentive and easy he was to get ahold of! I truly believe any concerns Martin would be more then willing to help out! Honestly the pictures are gorgeous but even they dont do this place justice, I would hesitate to recommend this property!

Our experience with booking our trip with AirBNB right from the get go was smooth and easy. We arrived to check in and met Martin who was an awesome host in making us feel welcome and ensuring we had everything we needed. The home was like home away from home. It had ALL the amenities and more. Even the nice touch of having 2 cold beers waiting in the fridge along with munchies. The view from every window, including the shower, was breath taking. The location was perfect. Close to beaches, restaurants, shopping and nightlife, yet able to escape at the end of the day and enjoy a beer or glass of wine on our own private lanai to watch the beautiful sunset. There was an upper lanai that you could start gaze at night. The cleanliness of the home was immaculate. I was impressed with even the beach umbrella, lawn chairs and cooler that were provided were clean and ready to use. Martin was always available, easy to talk to and above all was a gentleman. This place is THE BEST, hands down! Incredible views, convenient location, impeccable taste with all of the comforts of home. Leaving was awful, we want to live there permanently! Guest service exceeded expectations and our experience was absolutely fantastic! I can't imagine staying anywhere else on Maui.

Quite possibly the best place we've ever stayed, with one of the most comfortable beds we've slept in. The apartment is superbly designed, with wonderful views perfect for watching the sun set or stargazing. Finished to exacting standards with fittings and furnishings of the highest quality; the photos do not portray how lovely & stylish the penthouse is. This is all topped off by the wonderful warmth and hospitality of Hutt and Greg; they made us feel like houseguests as nothing was too much trouble (thank you guys). If we could have stayed longer we would have.
